The jury is composed by TI-PT Board members, the Executive Director, and members of the APROFORT project team They will be responsible for assessing the applications according to the evaluation criteria, and especially the project proposals links with APROFORT goals and expected results.

Transparência e Integridade – Transparency International Portugal was hosted by the Permanent Mission of Equatorial Guinea to the CPLP, at the invitation of Ambassador Tito Mba Ada.

On August 7th, the APROFORT project was presented in the city of Bata, Equatorial Guinea, where more than 10 organisations from the mainland part of the country attended.

To celebrate the African Anti-Corruption Day, on July 11th, the APROFORT Observatory on Human Rights and Good Governance presents its first good governance report on Equatorial Guinea.

Equatorial Guinea is one of the largest oil producers in Africa for over 10 years. With a population of 1.2 millon, its development indicators have not improved, despite major development programmes according to the UNDP.

In the last years Equatorial Guinea has received several recommendations from Human Rights Council and the Human Rights Committee at the UN. It has also reactivated the accreditation process in the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.
